Emma Watson has revealed that she is not interested in releasing her own fragrance.

The Harry Potter star said that she would rather concentrate on her fashion career than create her own scent.

She told People: “I can’t understand this fragrance thing. Why would you want to smell like somebody else? Don’t you want to smell like yourself?”

The 20-year-old, who has modelled for Burberry, said of her fashion career: “I love it, and I will continue to work in the fashion industry.

“I am interested in ethical fashion, I want to make a difference and it’s nice to contribute.”

Harry Potter star Emma Watson is expanding her fashion empire by teaming up with famed designer Alberta Ferretti to create a new organic clothing range.

Watson has modeled for British style giant Burberry and last year became a creative consultant for Fair Trade fashion brand People Tree. The 20-year-old actress has now confirmed she is working on a new project with Ferretti, revealing the Italian style guru approached with an idea for an organic collection after seeing her range for People Tree.

Watson tells Us Weekly, “We are doing an organic clothing range. I can’t reveal the name yet but there will be more information about it soon… (Ferretti) wrote to me and said, ‘I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it’s a great idea and will you do something with me?’”

And Watson hints she won’t be getting paid for her work with Ferretti, adding, “I will put it out there that I will work for anyone for free if they are prepared to make their clothing fair trade organic.”

The collection is expected to be released next year.

Emma Watson might be knee deep in college work, but she’s made some time to design a new clothing line with Alberta Ferretti. 

US Weekly  reports that the 20-year-old student and actress will be working on an organic clothing due out just after Christmas. 

Emma shared with the mag at the Deathly Hallows premiere, “I can’t reveal the name yet but there will be more information about it soon. She [Ferretti] wrote to me and said, ‘I saw what you did with People Tree and I think it’s a great idea and will you do something with me?’”

We’ve loved seeing Emma Watson as Hermione in all of the Harry Potter movies, but that will probably be the only role we’ll see her acting in, for at least a little while.

After wrapping up the final HP films — Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and its sequel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows II, Emma plans on taking a break from her acting career.

“I know that I can play Hermione but I don’t know. I really think I need to recharge my batteries and go and be me for a bit,” she admitted.
